Rotary is "History in the Making"
(Rotarian J.R. Legge
Newcastle-u-Lyme Rotary Club 1950)
It has been rightly said that " People are measured by their respect for the good of the Past, for their devotion to duties of the Present and by their vision in surveying the Future”.
It is fitting that we should pause to pay tribute to our founder pioneers of yesterday, to point with pride at our accomplishments of today and re-dedicate ourselves to the tasks that confront us tomorrow.

We’re thrilled to welcome Rolo, the incredible hearing dog, as the, first-ever canine member
of Tettenhall Rotary Club!
Rolo has been given his very own membership number and pendant by members of
Tettenhall Rotary Club.
Rolo is more than just a furry friend—he plays a vital role in supporting his owner, Phil Griffin, who is profoundly deaf. Together, they attend Rotary meetings, engage in community service, and embody the true spirit of Service Above Self

Many people hear about Rotary at one time or another. However, few know about its history or about that first meeting when a lawyer by the name of Paul Harris and three business friends met in fellowship in the office of one of the friends.
Little did anyone realise the significance of their meeting. It was to bring about a most important sociological phenomena during the twentieth century. It created a new concept of service to mankind that has over the years touched many millions of people around the world.
(Fraser Dukes Governor, District 1210 1996-97).

The ideal of Rotary spread to the British Isles in 1911, and came to District 1210 in 1921, when the Rotary Club of Walsall was formed.
